When you are using a service and it's free it is because you are the product.

That is how social media works, think about it, you use Instagram for free, but in return, you have to consume different types of ads.

The USA is the father of social media, except in China where they created their own social media and banned Facebook, Instagram, and so on. That social media is called WE CHAT, and it's almost as big as Instagram.

WE CHAT has everything, is a WhatsApp, Amazon, Instagram, uber eats, all in one. This is really important because is the reason why Walmart wants to buy TikTok, to create e-commerce inside social media but we will talk about it later on.

TikTok has growth like no other app has had in the past years, just in the USA they have over 100 million active users per month and 50 million users every day, this means that the engagement they have is HUGE.

But why does Donald Trump wants to ban them?

The USA and China have never been close friends, and for the past years especially on the internet an online-war has been created among these two titans

This is not the first time Donald Trump wants to ban a Chinese company, just a few years ago he banned Huawei, and banning a company from the USA means that

a) They can not do ANY business with an American company

b) They can no longer sell their product in the USA.

b) They can no longer sell their product in the USA.

The “reason” why they banned Huawei in the past is apparently the same reason why they want to ban TIKTOK and it's because of the DATA.

Early in July Donald Trump`s administration gave a deadline to Tiktok that they could either sell or go away. Donald Trump`s administration wants to ban them because they think that they are using the data and giving it to the Chinese government.

Let’s tie up some loose ends, shall we?

This is an election year, and Donald Trump knows the importance of social media in an election, and if your enemy (CHINA) has the power to influence 100 million people on social media, you don’t want that.

But what do they want to buy?

The algorithm.

The whole value of Tiktok is on the way it works, and that is in the algorithm.

So when Tiktok decided to sell a lot of companies wanted to buy it.

At the top of the list was Microsoft, but Bill Gates literally said are you guys insane? so they back down.

Then Walmart said something like “Hey Microsoft, what if we do it together?”

Microsoft — “Let’s do it”

And so they did.

But why does Walmart wants to buy Tiktok? So China has something that is called Social commerce, inside the social media you can buy, pay, and get whatever you want making e-commerce easier than what it is nowadays.

When the Chinese government saw this, they created a new law that prohibited all Chinese companies to sell the code.

Therefore the whole reason why they want to buy it was gone, caput.

But why did Oracle and Walmart buy it?

Actually, Oracle didn't buy it, and Walmart just bought 7% of the company.

Here is the GOSSIP!

So Donald Trump was worried about the data and he wanted an American cloud service will host the data.

The top 3 clouds are AMAZON, GOOGLE, and MICROSOFT, and Tiktok already has a contract with Google for 3 years, so what's the problem?

The CEO of Oracle is one of the few supporters of Donald Trump, Oracle not only didn't buy Tiktok but now Tiktok is paying Oracle to “protect” the data.

Tiktok is not closing or being banned from the USA, so what was this drama about? Was this a political move? or was Donald Trump actually worried about the data of millions of Americans?
